Props to this thread Jayke,
Been searching for an answer to the orientation question for days, even asked Scorpion direct...awaiting a response. Your video confirming round pipe installation has helped me decide.
EDIT: Scorpion confirmed

Do you think the second guy was still on his bike after he hit the deer? It looks to me like he was thrown off because of the way the bike keeps rolling and once back on the tarmac doesn't start braking. Also look at the damage to right side of windshield, like he hit it as he came off! Dunno...

Big bang motor and R1 inspired fairing :BLAA:
Did it to mine a few weeks before it was written off. The exhaust tone was louder but reminded me slightly of a blowing exhaust. At first I thought it sounded naff but it was quite nice at high revs. Do a search on youtube for "FZ6 drilled exhaust", you'll get lots of results so you can have a...
This is exactly how I rode my every day commute apart from cruising at 68mph. Got over 60mpg plenty of times but cannot emphasise how gently I was riding. On average got high 50's.
Sorry VJ, didn't mean to come across so totally anti car. I too am forced to drive one occasionally, against my will. I agree with what you say and make every effort to drive as safely as possible and I am courteous to other drivers, although I sometimes wonder why! Maybe all drivers should be...
Thanks for all your kind words guys. I was a bit het up when I posted, but understandable I think. Dad got away with no breaks although he has a lot of bruisin and swelling, luckily he landed on the grass after being launched off the back of the bike. He's more gutted about the bike. It was a...
3 weeks after being rear ended off my bike (http://www.600riders.com/forum/fz6-general-discussion/30836-how-not-street-fighter-you-fz6.html) and the EXACT same thing has just happened to my father. Rear ended off his new BMW at a roundabout. Same suspected busted right ankle and the driver said...
Hi all,
As some of you may know, I was rear end shunted off my 2009 FZ6 S2 a few weeks ago. Well, the bike has been written off and valued at £4465, slightly low due to the high (14,000) mileage...
I have been offered salvage based on 10% of the book value, so £450ish. What I want to know...
I blew my brake light fuse when I was fitting an extra LED brake light. The fuse was in the right hand side tail pod labelled "back up". It totally threw me cos I thought it was a spare, bad translation from Japanese I guess...
I think it's the one ant mb is pointing to above, but, my tail...
This is something I've been asking myself for the past week since my FZ6 was written off. For what I do (commuting 700 miles a week & the occasional social ride), I really can't find another bike made by another manufacturer that fits the bill as well as the Fazer. I need at least a half fairing...
Bad news today. Went back to hospital to get my back slab cast removed and have a fiberglass cast fitted but the surgeon inspected the x-rays and said the fracure was displaced and needs pinning! I'm going in at 0730 tomorrow for the op, joy! I'll have pins in both my ankles after this! Oh well...
So I spoke to the insurance assessor today on the phone. When I mentioned the rear subframe lugs had snapped off the mainframe he said "hold the line a minute, I just ned to consult the senior assessor". He came back pretty quick and said they wouldn't even be out to look at it, it's writen off...
