I have the very same bike that I bought 1.5yrs ago with the same miles :BLAA: Great bike as was already mentioned check if the TPS recall was done. As for valve clearances I think the specified intervals is 24k miles :rockon:

Just after by passing the kill switch, the switch assembly was a pain to put back together! But thankfully the cutting out problem is solved :D

Should I take the killswitch assembly apart... check the connections? spray with wd40? how would i go about bypassing the switch? Thanks :thumbup:

I am starting to have the same issue. my bike is a 2004 and the recall was done. have a receipt from the previous owner. I could be driving and the bike would go dead for a split second and then shoot back to life, which is quite worrying :eek: Would the tps have failed? never thought of...

Sounds the very same as my slip ons without baffle. louder than my friends zx9 with beowolf exhaust with no baffle :Flip: :Flip:

Have you bought the slip on system? I will be selling my exhaust system on my 04 fz6. i year old. glorious sound out of it :thumbup:

Hey neil how are ya? Was servicing the bike today took off the tank, cleaned air filter disconnected the battery, but unfortunately that didnt reset the speedo. I must read up on ch 4 of the haynes manual :Flash:

In your first pic, the cylindrical shaped thing with the nut under the down pipes is the oil cooler?? Do you ever need to interfere/ adjust it? I have only changed the oil + filter as per usual

I recently had fork seals replaced along with brake fluid. bike never suffered collision. had the bike nearly 2 years daily use. Will remove calipers, see if wheel spins freely and go the brake cleaner route! thanks

Hey guys just noticed that i the last few weeks that the front wheel is stiff while rotating it by hand. I dont notice any difference in driving performance. Would this be sticking brake pistons?? Or would the bearings need greasing?? Thanks A

I have 32k miles on my 04 fazed. Recently had valve clearances done ( valves within spec), fork seals done, new rear brake disc. aswell as engine coolant and brake fluid. :rockon: :rockon:

bought it end of september 2011 with 21k miles on it. I now have 32k miles on it. I do about 150 miles a week commuting to college and work.
