F/S : HVMP Bar Ends *SOLD*
Up for sale is a pair of weighted HVMP Bar Ends. One has some nicks in it from when the FZ6 fell off the kickstand(d'oh!), and they both have some mild rust pitting, as seen in the pictures. They will fit both the FZ6 and FZ1. And yes, they worked great on my FZ6...
I'm skinny, I could probably cram onto that thing! Just needs a serious motor and an upgraded battery, and fun time! Whaddya think, about 10Kv worth of juice? Oh yes.....
+1 Cracks on ANY frame are cause for worry. Assuming that's what he meant anyways. Hopefully it's crack in the plastic or something.
I actually have a co-worker that is very interested, and already knows what it's got for mods, and likes it a lot. So I guess I'm lucky there. If I were to list...
I'm considering selling my FZ6. What I'll replace it with is still in the air, but I've got some ideas. First things first though.
It's an '06, with about 16K miles. Puig DB windscreen, Scorpion cans w/inserts, F/E kit, and some small bits not really worth mentioning. If I sell this thing...
That is one nice lookin' moto! Thanks for the review, makes me want one now. lol
I know some people will scoff, but the stock exhaust looks really good! One of the few factory exhausts that I like the look of. Much better than that tiny megaphone/ mini-resonator M4, that's for sure.
Was...
Not only that, but the light pattern is still useless! It just gives more crappy light. lol I tried it, and went back to halogen.
For regular bulbs, forget Silverstars. They're coated bulbs, which reduces light output, period. All the coating does is change the color of the light. Look for...
What kind of MPG's are you seeing now? Just curios, because with a heavy throttle(in the city, and very much so while merging:D), freeway cruising @70-80mph, and a 47-mile commute(one way), with 22 miles of that being mountain roads, I see 47mpg at the lowest. I usually see a steady 50mpg, 55...
Good point, I forgot about contaminants getting inside the pressure sensor. Even a tiny spec of dust or moisture will kill one. Those things are too sensitive for this application. Jeez, I must've been really tired when I posted that. Fridays, I swear! lol
Can't wait to see this thing...
This is really cool. Another idea involving the Arduino board(these boards are sooooo much fun) : Find a suitable vacuum line to tap into, that has a variable vacuum on decel vs accel. Then you need a pressure sensor and board, tie it into the Arduino, and the result should be the same, after...
Ah, I use the small pumps for maintaining tire pressure. Like when they're down 1-5psi. Any more than that and it's not worth the effort.
For fixing a flat, you can get a small electric, but it will take it's toll on the battery, so best to do it while the bike is running. I've got this one ...
I agree, except for ABS while off-roading. That would be terrible! If my WR250R had ABS, that would've been the first thing to go on that moto. lol My preference is no ABS on anything, I hate it almost as much as under-steer on cars.
Nice reviews! On the Spyder, how does it react when...
Can't disagree with any of it. I'll just add what's worked for me.
It all depends on where I'm riding. On Lawrence Expressway for example, nobody pays attention. Riding on the left side of any lane will guarantee some one will just shoot on over from the left into my lane. Heck, anywhere I ride...
Just about any bicycle tire pump will work just fine. You can get the CO2 type units, or the manual pump ones. I use a very old Specialized Air Force 4 pump(it's about 10 years old). It's a bit slow, and attaching it to the valve stems can be a bit of a pain, but it's better than miles of...
Depends on the area I guess. Around here, where the cars put their tires is terrible. At least it is in the cities. Freeway is ok. It's really uneven, especially at stop lights, and for some reason, that's where I always encounter oil and other garbage(it is CA, where everything is backwards...
"You don't hit the brakes like that when somebody is right behind you". Ummmm.....what? Because that makes perfect sense. Yep, no flaws in that logic. Because everyone knows, when there's an emergency that requires braking, you must forego braking if somebody is behind you. Then the...
