$1000 seems steep. i was thinking $600 is top for this job. but not just the valves. it has to include other things. just for the valve check alone? i cannot say....
just know this bike gets basic service, adjustments, and tires and keeps running and running
i like my shop in SoCal, ela area...
$390 all in at 27000
valve adjust
plugs
coolant
oil
air filter
brake fluid change
adjust chain
lube stuff up
some other things. major service stuff i suppose
replacement is good imo. i just got this one for $28 on Amazon. not fancy but looks good and works well. thing is signals do appear to have greenish tint as vid shows.
but sure its a bright taillight and brake light / signal
combo

one more who agrees with the plate / inspection thing. my state requires plates but no "inspection." however the sound of it is not good. a buyer might figure "if in good shape and well cared for, why no inspection or plates?" it may give some the impression you and / or the bike cannot be...
Well its been two years since I made this my first choice for my first motorcycle after 3 and 1/2 years of riding scooters and I think it was a perfect choice. This bike has helped me come to understand motorcycles.
The bike is very easy and comfortable to ride. It is FAST and can out run any...
what, no room for the poor 'lil FZ in the backyard? how about the kitchen?
oh, you will be back. even if its when that barge we call the FJR becomes just too much bike for an old man....you will be back!
the FZ will not go quietly into the night!
however congrats to the new buyer. and the...
my bike was jerky lately and sometimes would not start. sometimes at 80-90mph it would lose power and feel like it was going to cut out. it would "herky jerky" at random intervals and not start sometimes. it had THAT issue, random no starts, for a couple years. it always did start, though
it...
well, i doubt that. he rides thousands of miles every year through all kinds of wet and fixes his bikes on the side of the road in the Peruvian jungles. or Alaskan wilderness. or where ever the hell he goes?
anywho, he just isn't a big fan of getting things wet unless need be. "avoid it if you...
i never use the kill switch, i don't like it. always the key. and the guy always says don't get the bike wet. he is not a fan of getting bikes wet if you don't have to. he says not to ride in the rain, too. he says it can cause some problems / issues
i trust his fix. if the bike runs, it runs i...
thanks guys. i been working so long i never made it back!
however i did research a little more AFTER i made this thread and came across an older one with the kill switch issue and a little "test" to perform by rocking the switch back and forth
long story short....it was the switch. i played...
Hi Guys and Girls :welcome:
I will try to make this short as possible. My bike has had minor starting issues from the time I bought it two years ago. The fuel pump always primed but sometimes I would have to open the throttle to get it started, and occasionally it would start from cold and just...
i have three of these jackets. quality, but only three smallish pockets and "water resistant shell." i find it is just that, if not water proof. usually does a good enough job in the wet, though. unfortunately most seem sold out

i have a matte black and glossy white
i just got a graphics helmet after a couple years or so of black or white
i likes it and may get another graphics helmet soon. dunno what yet
well my guy is very reasonable here in SoCal so i can't really say how much it would be. I was there so I know the shop did work on the bike for at least 3 solid hours. but the cost was only $250. some have even said my shop is like getting charged for labor but not for parts or fluids when it...
