3 weeks in hospital...holy cow, his leg must be a mess! Bugger! Please pass on my best wishes Humpy....

:(

You got that right mate. 3 weeks is a long time eating hospital food. I was with my brother through his rehab after a similar incident which resulted in a busted femur, tib, fib, some Ti rods & lots of screws:(

Please pass on my regards & best wishes for a full recovery.

Well, i had a young man on the hook to buy Pinky....and at the last minute his girlfriend talked him out of it, and made him buy a Cruiser....

A slow, evil handling piece of crap, Hyosung!

My last words to him, "good luck with that, give me a call when you get your balls back!"

:D

Alright, I will agree that a hyosung is a step too far.

When I started to ride again about 3.5 years back, my wife wanted a vespa in the family, fortunately there were enough current and past riders she knows that meant I didn't have to argue the point too much.
She doesn't mind getting on the back of the fizzer, just thats it a bit higher than my old vtr(but there is way more room). She does talk about getting on a bike by herself from time to time, but there hasn't been much talk of scooters, just dragging out the honda, ----Im cool with that, she just needs to get some damn boots and kevlar pants

Bikers Gear Australia in PI...now they have decent, and really cheap riding gear for the Ladies....Jess got a great pair of Draggin style jeans, kevlar lined, etc, and a great all weather jacket, Rally Style, with removable liner, etc, for just on $200 whilst we were at PI this year....

And RJays do a great boot that comes in Woman's sizes, thart are very keenly priced....get the Missus on a bike mate! :D

After years of being on the back of Mikes bikes - several ZX6, SP-1, Daytona 675 etc, got sick of it. Mike bought me a CBF250 for Xmas, took my test, bought the Fizzer and NEVER looked back.

Get her on a bike

She has a shark helmet that fits perfectly, a pretty good honda jacket with armour and my 250 is in the back yard, we keep talking about it. maybe this w/end, as there is nothing else to take up time....yet. She's had a licence for years, just not been confident to actually take to the road. i think it will be the hiking boots at first and a few quiet runs around the neighborhood, .....slowly slowly
My dream is to do some touring, with two bikes, pillion is ok but its so good solo.

Hehehe, what next. I thought speed cameras were the biggest revenue raising rort... Watch your language now...

Big fines for those who cry foul

In a public place where there are young kids, fair enough. Anywhere else it's just manners and common courtesy. I can swear like a trooper, BUT there's a time and a place for it. I don't like being in a public place with people using really bad language around me, just like I wouldn't do it around them.

But legislating against it? Don't think a law is the way to go :shakehead:

Quick Jamie , drag her out to the shed & make her stare at the FZ6 for a few hours...... Then she'll understand what a nice bike looks like :D

Lol....Jess thinks Damien looks evil! Jess reckons the "eyes" follow you! LMAO! (Note....no F in that, would'nt wanna get a fine! ^^^^ :D)

I must say i was surprised by Jess liking the "thing" they call the Y2K bike...cause Jess normally only likes bikes without "covers"! Yes, Kazza, Jess still calls fairing's, covers!

I wouldnt own one if you gave it to me, what a PITA! Still the Y2K would be good for melting 4 Wheel Drives that tried to kill you!

:D

I think it's all about Public Places...like the Footy, where language can get rather colorful at times! It used to bother me a bit, but then i realised i swear just as much when my mates are around, and my kids have no chance of being sheilded from it....

Having said that, Aidin, my 12 year old, hates me swearing!
