the fz1 still hasn't got the cross-plane crank though, i bet you won't get a triple version of the fz6 or fz1 for a long time

that would be sweet, it would probably bring the weight down and make the bikes feel slimmer. and maybe a little more torque, with that sweet triple sound. im definitely game. i would imagine they will stay with the 4-screemer in GP though as the regulations are different then WSB.

I realize it's old news but I hadn't seen it before and didn't see it in a search. It would be interesting to see how far they can go with it. For everyday riding it seems to be the best compromise between a large twin and i-4. For racing there aren't too many that use Triumphs in the 600cc class but there's a few and they do okay with it (675). This news is kinda like using a v-twin like the RC51 or something... doesn't last long.
