Hey guys,
I have just put in one of those superbright bulbs in my headlight. Looks nice, but I've noticed a lot of heat when holding a hand next to the headlight. I don't know if it was like that with oem bulb, and this is why I am asking the question. Will the FZ1N headlight melt if used with this:

H4 Xenon HID Headlight Bulbs YAMAHA FZ-6 FZ6 05 06-08: eBay Motors (item 200508477933 end time Sep-14-10 00:44:09 PDT)

They say:
Direct OEM Upgrade with 12V Drawing Input
Easy to install and will not burn/damage the original wire harness

Hmm,could well do as the 'glass' is plastic. It might not totally melt it,but could well discolour it......

They are suspiciously cheap,so buyer beware ;)

Recipe for Headlight Soup-

1- FZ1N
1- Ebay cheapie bulb
1- Human being to purchase and install bulb

After bulb installation turn bike on and let the bulb do the rest of the work. Salt
headlight soup to taste.

Special thanks to Chef Ebay for this recipe.

How many watts are these things drawing? If you are exceeding 55/60 which is the stock wattage, you could be asking for trouble.

That's a 55w bulb, it's blue glass so it's filtering out some useable of the spectrum, they actually have less light output than the oem bulb, if you want an upgrade get a Sylvania Silver Star Ultra.
