That's not a bad idea, have you shot an airlight .357 ? or .44? I know the .44 is not a j frame but just wondering?

Ben

I have the Smith and Wesson M&P 360. It's the Scandium alloy frame, with blackened stainless steel cylinder and stainless barrel. It's a handful to shoot with .357 magnum loads, but you can't beat the power and light weight of that gun.

If you prefer a double action only, Smith and Wesson makes the 340 which is basically the same gun, only with a covered hammer.

I have a Springfield GI .45 and like it a lot. It has never jammed and is pretty accurate for having fixed sights. I wanted something similar to what my dad carried in WWII but couldn't afford the real thing.

I recently bought a Ruger MKIII 22/45 for fun. Ammo is cheap, it weighs approx the same as a .45, and has the same style of grip. You can customize the hell out of it if so inclined.

My dad sold me on a Colt Cobra 38
It's a nice small gun, falls right on sight, and has an easy light trigger pull

I'm gonna buy one if I can find one(they don't make them anymore)

My backup plan is a Charter Arms 38SP, 2" barrel

I would go for a 1911 .45 of some kind its a great pistol . If I money was no object I would get a Taurus model 4510 for some reason having a revolver that not only shoots .45 bullets but 410 3inch magnum shot shells is just cool
