In anticipation of my bike's first oil change, I decided to go out for a little ride to get the oil all nice and warmed. For those familiar with the East Bay, I basically picked up Foothill off 680, took that down to 84, cut across to Palomares and then back to Dublin.
As I was riding Palomares, I had the usual slew of items to worry about: Car, bicycles, deer, squirrels, et cetera. Having already avoided a few of each, coming out of one particular turn, I found the road filled with large colorful birds that apparently didn't care that I was coming through them nor that I was much larger than them. They just stood there and held their ground, forcing me to come to a stop.
As I stopped, a thought entered my head: "Did I really just get pea**** blocked?"
