Good question! Off hand, I would say no. I believe they are two different types. Your best bet would be to cross reference the parts on web sites such as Ron Ayers and look at the micro fische pictures.

Both looks different. The FZ6R looks wider while FZ6N looks taller.

Using the part number; it does not appear to cross over to "R"... But tiny changes even the paint color will introduce a new PN...
