Yea it's great in tuscany. We've been there with my gf and friend this summer. We've stayed at camping near Livorno. It was lots of fun when we rode around to Pisa, Lucca, Volterra, San Gimigiano. The roads in tuscany are in good condition and are twisty as hell which end ups with even more fun
As to your bike trip, hell we saw a dozen people on the push bikes and each time we were saying uh we ain't doing that for vacation, a lot of people we're passing by seemed like they didn't enjoy it as the next hill rose ahead
