It is with sadness that i report that my son died today commuting to work at the hands of a hoon driver.

he was cut off and had to lay the bike down but slid into the railing and died from his injuries.

he was always a defensive and sensible rider and it saddens me so much that he was taken away from us because some knob cager had to get his cheap thrills.

Andy, that is just awful! The moment i read this, my heart stopped for a moment. Dont really know what to say, other than you must be a bit numb about now.

its so sad and sorry to hear stories like this. your family and your son will be in my prayers. deepest sympathies. i cant beleive that such people still exist today, cause an accident and not even care to stop!
 
the cops have caught the prick and he has been arrested, there are many witnesses to him hoon driving and when he cut josh off he had crossed three lanes at high speed into his lane.

so heres hoping they throw the book at him.

I do wonder whether a decent guard rail, unlike those stupid wire rope motorcyclist killers, would have made a difference..... The numerous campaigns Australia wide seem to do nothing compared to saving a few bucks!

Heard it on the radio this morning at work, as soon as they mentioned a Nissan Skyline, we all knew it was a stupid hoon doing their stupid things on a wet road.

R.I.P. Joshua.

I travel that road every day, I have seen idiots in cars many times pull straight across to the right lane going stupid speeds in the 70 zone. I hope they lock the idiot up and throw away the key.
