I was out riding with a friend who recently got into riding. He got a great deal on a lightly used Triumph 675 Street Triple. It has all of the usual aftermarket upgrades and the exhaust sounds like music.
I took him out on one of my favorite 70 mile loops of nothing but twisty backroads. At the half-way point we stopped at Van Sant airport to watch the biplanes and gliders come and go. Being a new rider he had 100 questions about the ride. But the one thing he said that took me by surprise was “man, your bike sounds fantastic”. I said to him “you don’t even know what you have, do you?”
Those Triumph triples are special machines. I hope he never lets me test ride it.
