1. Can be had for less on eBay
2. Too much money.

Just my opinion :)

I recently bought and installed this kit. I am not very mechanically inclined and the install was still straight forward and fairly simple. I like the smaller turn signals and think it looks much cleaner than stock.

I still prefer the R&G Tail Tidy that I have because it takes the standard indicators. I'm not a fan of these little ones.

I agree. That's why I went for FAZR6 kit (which also costs less).

However, if I wanted to go with aftermarket signals, I would most likely get this 2008 Yamaha FZ 6 Black Fender Bracket 08 - eBay (item 180608350231 end time Feb-03-11 04:23:32 PST) I remember seeing a post about that one and it was well rated. Get aftermarket indicators from LP Racing - LOCKHART PHILLIPS USA for about $25 shipped.

I'm another user of the fazr6 FE that reuses the stock signals. I too aren't mechanically minded but managed it.
This Targas one looks alright given you get indicators as well

I wouldn't mined any fe kit, but this kit has a led plate light, and I have Rizoma Zero 11 Turn Signals coming, should be here today! Not to mention this fe looks closer to the end of the bike!
