After scraping the bugs off the FZ from our ride yesterday I saw the chains contact pattern is not ideal. (Edit: title should say Contact - not Wear).
I thought I'd had the rear tires alignment proper but according to the contact pattern on the chain that may not be the case.
Because the chain pulls from the top, and the greater contact patch is on the left outer edge, I'm going to say that the wheel is not centered perfect and it's likely turned to the right ever so slightly. Which IMO may be what caused the front tire to scallop or razor the left side as the bikes thrust angle is towards the right.
Any thoughts on this? oh that's about 550miles since last cleaning and lube and it is due right now.
