Could you just paint over the floor with a non-slip paint ?

nah....that paint on the floor is many coats thick in places, and in varying depths.....but it doesnt cover the whole floor only about 30% of it...we are going to line the walls with plaster board, and put up a waist height partition around the workshop area....

Wolfie, I must say that you are the man! One day when I strike it rich, I am gonna come down there just for a pint or two with you devils!

Wish I could help out but I'll just lend my moral support from the States!

Know anyone with a grader? Stripper (no the paint kind..lol) and scraping or setting the stuff on fire would be the only ways I can think of. I'm betting you'll want to be avoiding the fire option...lol:D.

Yeah i dont reckon the landlord would be too happy with us if we set the joint on fire, first weekend we were there! it's normally best to wait a few months before doing that sort of stuff....isnt it???

is this number 35 we came looking for you but no one home thought you would be down on hands and knees scrapping.

we don't actually get the keys till next Friday.... So butt breaking scraping don't start till then... Not that I am much use...one arm is useless. One foot just as worthless for at least another 3 weeks!

But you were in the right place!

as long as you were not wearing the mankini mikey! Don't want the landlord thinking we are running a front for some weird escort agency!

There is a self levelling paint on the market that would bring the floor up to one level. A mate used it for his uneven kitchen. Otherwise industrial paintstripper should make light work of it.

This is super cool!! I had a freind in my early 20's that owned a shop, and I made alot of good freind's there and learned alot from each other working on our car's and bikes there after work and on the weekend's.we would swap and sell each other performance part's,and take trip's to the drag strip's and car and bike shows.it was alot of fun!

A power washer might be able to strip the paint off the floor with a lot less effort than manually scraping. The soultion for the floor will depend a lot on what type of paint it is.

BTW sounds like an awesome idea, plus you can always angle it to look for sponsers for the racing team.
