Should I take the killswitch assembly apart... check the connections? spray with wd40? how would i go about bypassing the switch?

Yep, another member had issues with the RED kill switch.
Just pull the switch apart, find the two wires that go to the toggle switch and tie them together. That will by pass the switch (the switch WILL NOT FUNCTION). Sounds electrical with the on/off issue, most likely that switch..
That switch is a common problem, especially for those that use it often..
