First. I have a clickjacking warning on my computer from this video.

Secondly I've seen and helped care for a similar wounds on a person who was non compliant with medical attention he had been receiving. He was a friend and we had parted ways because of difference in our life paths. Not long after, I ran into him in this condition after he was hit by a car. He was using and I believe it may have had a lot to do with his body's ability to fight and heal after a compound fracture, as well as his leaving the hospital care against physician advice.
It was a hard event for me to deal with but sometimes there is synchronicity in events. I didn't know how to help him but my boss's wife was a prominent wound care specialist. She's kind of private in regards to her profession but she's just an awesome being. I bought all the needed products and cleaned and treated exposed bone and muscle.
Even now I have a lot of emotion when I'm writing about this...
The last time I saw my friend he borrowed money for a bus to go see his father. I've tried to look him up but he was off the grid for too many years...

1st Care about you. You can't help anyone if you don't try to help yourself. No love for you, no love for anyone else.
2nd Don't judge others. If you're following the first rule in loving yourself you'll see what this means to you and others.

Not talking about politically correct. I read bible quotes as I would an Edgar Allan Poe quote. I am not offended and see it as philosophical discourse. It can actually be quite enriching if you remove the "religious" aspect of it imo.

The thing that got me to post was the imaginary fear of a perceived threat that doesn't apply to the vast majority of us shouldn't be what anyone should need as motivation to act in a positive manner.

Hence the Fox News thing. That's what they do pretty much all day. It's a train of thought that actually hinders people from "coming alive". It pushes people into boxes in which they feel safe. Hug your children there are bad drugs out there? Of course there are. Send your kids out into the world without fear and soon you will have a generation of mountain climbers and adventure riders spreading aid and love and "coming alive". Don't emotionally castrate them.

It is starting to creep into Canadian media a bit now though but is something that people should resist. All the things that make any of us "come alive" depend on it. I agree very much with your "come alive" sentiment. I just disagree VERY much in the manner in which you are spurring others on.

Cliff, that's really rough man. I know it was rough on you because I have seen how much you take things to heart. In the end thats the only way to live. Big heart, right out in the open. His experiences with you no doubt give him inspiration even if you dont know it. Living in darkness, the small bits of light received are amplified in the darkest hours.

He may have been on the edge at times and, when he had almost lost hope, the fact he knew people cared about him may have been what kept him from the abyss.

Edit: but +1 to don't judge others. We are all dealing with our unique struggles in our unique way. If you aren't willing to extend a hand to help someone, at least don't judge. That force of society judging you actually keeps people from helping themselves sometimes and hurts them more. If you can't help, at least don't do harm. This is also why I don't judge religious people. If it gets you through the night, I am not going to kick your crutch out from under you. But walking without crutches? That's the only way to learn how to run!

Sort of like that alien autopsy movie that made the rounds years ago.

It just looks too clean. Where is the blood from the severed or chemically burned arteries? The bloodflow wouldn't just stop, methinks.

If it DID miraculously burn and seal the arteries, surely they'd make a medicinal version for amputees?

Maybe it is my lack of exposure, but it definitely looks doubtful to me.

The bone looks washed clean, there is no blood residue and the flesh has just disappeared. (and if it HAD been 'eaten', where did it go?)

Possibly liquefied, but that still doesn't explain the cleanliness of the bones, the lack of blood residue, the joint still appears to have mobility (the patient seems to be holding his own leg?)

I'd not be surprised to see this is a hoax.....
