So, it's pouring with a chance of hail tonight. Bummer. My bike is stuck outside because I'm still waiting to move into my new home. All this weather lately has got me wondering: How many of you have to keep your bike outside and what do you do to protect it from severe weather?

I've got a couch pillow bungied to the tank and the cover on it. I haven't had any problems yet, but I'd hate to come out to it in the morning and there's a big ding in the tank...

Keep bike inside when not riding. Its really the best way to prevent theft and damage. Hell you cant leave it parked in a parking spot outside. I keep it inside at work, and it still got ran over parked in a parking spot for less than 1 minute.

I keep the bike in my garage year round; heated in winter so I'm able to work on it during the down time here in Illinois.

Maybe you can find a soft pillow to put on the tank and front fender and then cover with a bike cover when you have a potential for hail.
