Hey All,

I'm trying to determine if there are any differences between the S1 hose arrangement and the S2.
I have a 04 FZ6n, but can only find replacement hoses listed for the S2 -

Silicone Coolant Radiator Hose FOR Yamaha FZ6 S2 2008 2009 2010 2011 Black | eBay
(these would cost me AU$56, Dealer is almost 4x the cost)

Will these fit my bike ok?
I've tried to compare my user manual with a S2 manual online, and also compared pictures of both online, they look the same but I want to be sure.

Any input appreciated.

Cheers,
Mac.

Go to this website and put in the different year bikes and get the part #'s:

Partzilla.com - OEM Powersports Parts from Honda, Kawasaki Polaris, Suzuki and Yamaha at discounts up to 80% off MSRP

I'm 99% sure their the same, but someone elde will have to confirm (re S1-2004-2006, and the S2, 2007-2009)..

Also, clicking on that link concerns me. It states: " S2 2008 2009 2010 2011 BLACK".

The S2 started in 2007 (manufactured date) and the S2 ended in 2009. The major lower HP change and fairings, started in 2010. Yamaha may have kept the same hoses for the faired model, but leaving out the 2007(S2) is definitly not correct.

I would send them a question to confirm fitment to your bike.

Being after market, its not unusual for parts NOT to fit as well as the OEM parts..

Thanks for the Partzilla link, I'll check it out.

I always see incorrect descriptions, I have bought several things before that turn out ok.
I think some people just get lazy. I will ask before I buy.

I know OEM would be better, but the cost here in Aussie is hard to swallow....

Thanks for your reply.

Cheers,
Mac.
