After seeing the "almost crapped my pants thread" I searched and found now general pets thread... Post what you have or had.
Currently I own one snake..a corn snake. I used to have a ton of spiders, bunch of scorpions, a few centipedes, and a few snakes. Sold them all prior to joining the Navy, but had a friend watch this one snake I had because it is awesome (I think it's a she) and has never tried to bite anyone.
So here are some pics. You all ride bikes, so you should be tough enough to not freak out here.
The snake I kept when I first bought it.
Recent (2 months ago) pic of the same snake.
She likes Iron Maiden.
Striped King Snake
My other corn snake..this one had a bad attitude and would bite me just about every time I'd take it out of the tank. It would calm down after having it out of the tank, but the initial process was always interesting. It would rattle it's tail to mimic a rattlesnake and bite. It's mouth was small, so the bites didn't hurt at all.
Didn't own this snake, but wound up hanging onto him for a while because the owner moved to Brazil for a bit. Rusty is his name and I had him for the better part of a year. Another corn.
