As an IT professional myself, I can offer two easy solutions...
1... Change your DNS. Many web filters are DNS based such as OPENDNS and others. Just be sure to change your DNS setting back when done otherwise you may not be able to access your internal network. (This can usually only be done if you have admin rights on your local computer)
2... Install LOGMEIN on your home computer (logmein.com). It's free and rarely blocked by filters. That will allow you to securely login to your home computer from work to access sites.
You can also port forward on your home router to allow you to access your home computer via remote desktop. Better performance than LOGMEIN but no nearly as secure.
