Photography Thread !!!

Here's a few pics from the Klickitat Trail, Washington State. It's a rails-to-trails project that runs through the middle of nowhere.

Scored this shot on the weekend , love our Kookaburra's & was so stoked with this shot being hand held @ 1/25

Image stabilization is a great thing. I've taken many shots at low shutter speeds that would have been crap without it.

It is a fantastic invention :) with this shot IS was OFF !! and to make even better still it was on my 100-400 zoomed out to 300mm :D :D.... Steady yourself & EXhale as you take the shot , thats the trick

Went to a party last Saturday and there was a guy twirling fire! All shots handheld, some on auto setting others with up to 1 second shutter speed. Should had a monopod or tripod but some turned out pretty well considering.

Some lightning storms were passing to the north of my house tonight. Whipped out the tripod, set the timer for 30 seconds and grabbed a few.

go Dan

Sent from my iPhone using Forum Runner and it works every time !

I've had better shots of lightning in the past -- with film! These were from the front and back yards at my house. Had I gone out of the 'hood and a couple of miles away it would've been better without obstructions but it was late.

These little guys now wait for me to get to the river to feed them. Im going to post a few picks of these guys so you can see different stages of them.

November 11th is Veteran's Day in the U.S.A. I took a ride to Fredericksburg, TX, to the National Museum of the Pacific War for their Veteran's Day ceremony. It was very good. I don't think enough people go out and actually show their support for veterans, but that's another topic.

Snapped a few photos, changed a couple to B&W.

The gentleman on the far right with the cane was born in 1916, he was the oldest in attendance.

All shots were taken on a Sony A550 DSLR (APS-C) and a Sony DT 18-135mm lens. Someday I'll get a 70-200mm 2.8 lens.

Nice pix norcal. Thanks for sharing.

I'm not a pilot, so this might be a silly question. Have you seen the circular rainbow that happens under just the right conditions? I saw it once very clearly on a commuter flight into O'Hare. That was 28 years ago and I have seen it only once since then.

Any way those can be shrunk down? My computer isn't resizing them and they're huge so they're grainy and have to pan around.

Yeah we saw it during this flight, and barely got it to show up on the camera. A perfect double rainbow around the shadow of our plane.
