New Speedometer

My oem speedometer went inop. I'm a poor college student and was wondering if any one had suggestions for a new dash. The bike is naked so it doesn't have to be the same as the previous dash. I bought a cheap dash off amazon but the plugs are different, I was wondering if I should attempt to hook it up or look for a new dash.

And what "dash" did you purchase? A Yamaha, aftermarket, ?
