Yeah umm, that mod will drain your battery if you use high-beams and has been previously discussed as not recommended.

From Gords site:
WARNING! This mod is not intended to be used if you use high-beam for long periods of time! Due to the simplicity of the mod, both filaments of the right headlamp will be lit when the high-beam is on. This can significantly shorten the life of the right bulb.


From another Forum member who did this mod:
I spliced on a connector to a piece of wire and put it on my right headlight into the empty cavity. I then ran it inside my fairing and spliced it to the green/white (I think) wire that come down near my forks from my handlebars. I read that this was successfully done by a few others, but apparently it has drained my battery over time to where it doesn't have enough CCA to start my bike.

You should take the time and do this mod properly as not to put unwanted load on your electircal system.
