Its with great shame that i ask you this question

That would be a fun trick to pull off with the FZ. I think that stand is designed of motocross bikes that are light weight.

Ohh....

Then how would you be able to do an oil change yourself ? or remove your wheals in order to change your tires ? center stand ?

Yup, use the centerstand and you are good to go! That is one of the nice things about the FZ is the centerstand; it makes life easier.

bah centre stands are for girls :p

no centre stands here in AUS

only the side stand, can stil ldo oil change with the side stand.

if i want to change my tyres off to the thyre shop and they can do it

Thats why they get paid millions of $$$$$$$$ a week :D:D:D , well someone must get it coz they charge enuff to do it........

I always used the center stand for services. if I had to remove the front tire, I'd put the bike on the center stand then use a floor jack to lift the bike by the header

I never had a problem doing it like this, and I've had both tires off the bike at the same time. I normally would pull the rear wheel first, than the front. just loosen the axles and pinch bolts first before jacking the bike that way you don't have to torque the bike while it's up in the air.

here's the link there are more pics in there, + now you get to see a classic thread that I'd forgot about until today:D

^^^ I use a 1 gallon paint bucket to prop up the front end.

Now Fred has an actual lift in his garage, that is nice! Saves the back and the knees.

You should always change the oil while it is on the side stand or else you will not get all the oil out. If you look you will see the drain plug is positioned off to the left of the bike, not the center.

You people are always trying to make things hard. To take the front wheel off, put it on the centerstand. Raise the front end off the ground and put a fire log under the pipes, big enough to keep th front tire off the ground just a little.
