I tossed my shiny scoot down the road.

W

wrightme43

Lowsided my groovetastic scooter. Approx 40-48 mph. Decreasing radius. Rode it right into the ground. Levered the tire off the ground on the centerstand. Slide up hill across the rode. Bike is hurt but not ruined.

So far in 24 hours two crashes, and one speeding ticket. 56 in a 30. I win at the Gap. Pictures when we get back.

May go naked with a speed triple head lamp. Still up in the air. It may be worse.
We straightened the forks,

Anyway. Its not that bad.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!111!!!!!!!!!111!!!1!!!11!!11!

Dude, I am so sorry. Glad you're ok man. Your bike doesn't want to keep any plastic on it, does it? if it's not melting it off it's grinding it off.

If you want it I'll donate a red fairing with a busted headlamp?:p

Those pics of Wrightme's ride?

Dude! Sorry to hear about the mishap! Glad to know you're OK though! Two crashes? We have to have the whole story now!

And Nate went down too? Rough Dragon???

The good Nate says Beootches you should of came you would of seen it. LOL LOL

Nate (Defy) and I hit each other.

I was leading back. 1/4 mile from the house. Lady waves me by. I pull out to pass, her husband turns his left signal on and turns. I jam on the brakes, and Nate and Angela wieghed more and didnt stop as fast. His gas tank and brake lever cut my rear tire. Crushed one Scorpion, and mangleated the lic. plate.
Broke his radiator. The bikes were stuck to gether standing up in the road.

Crap happens.

I am thinking Vector spedo odo, and speed triple headlamp set. Tank is bent up but not bad, the frame slider chiped the frame in the low side. So that will have to be tigged.

It tweaked the hell out of the forks but we straigtened them out.

Nates freaking GAS TANK cut my rear tire!!!! He was doing a stoppy with Angela on the back. It was suck!

Wow! Just glad to know everyone is OK! That was suck-tacular! Any pics at the scene of the accident?

Maybe 50MPH in 2nd with a fist full of throttle all the way down to about 5MPH in just a flash before making contact via a nice 2up + loaded topcase STOPPIE (impressed with the pilot powers' grip). I was commited to the pass and fully in the other lane on a long straight before wrightme luckily figured out the two cages in front were turning.

Both bikes never hit the ground, wrightme never hit the ground, my passenger and I kinda dropped off to the side right next to the bike....crazy...Franco was behind me on the 2008 R6 and stopped with his front tire "6 inches" from my rear tire (post contact). oh yeah, we were 1 mile from home which meant I was 1 mile form completing my riding for the weekend after covering hundereds of miles and four states of twisties in the past two days. ugh...

I'm happy to hear everyone is OK Charlie

Glad your OK mate number 10 of 10 crashed forum members since May. Did you get the ticket or was it someone else?

Really sorry to hear about your crash Steve, but pleased you're OK.

I know it wasn't planned but look on the bright side this gives you an excuse to do a bit of Modding

I have a silver tank you can have. You can fix yours and put the silver one on to keep you on the road. It has similar damage to yours on it.
Do you think that your crash bobbins prevented any more damage?

OMG I couldn't beleive it when I read this thread.
I am very pleased that all three of you are ok, especially that your girlfriend is not injured. Pillions tend to get the rough end of the deal when it comes to crashes. I guess because you are a big chap you may have shielded her.
All the best with the repairs.

So I am a little confused, is this the start of the break or the end? Are the bikes still rideable?

Nelly

We were pretty much done for the day. Everyone was heading back to the house we rented.

I'm happy to hear everyone is OK but remind me never to ride with anybody from this board. You folks are the rootin tootin crashinest bunch I have ever seen and that's no chit. We're a month into the season and we've damaged or hurt like 8 FZ6's. It's no small wonder I never see one on the road..... Hope you folks have fun with the rest of your trip and good luck....

Charlie

PS: Somebody needs to come up with a sticker that says, I survived the first annual FZ6 Deal's Gap Run......

ROFL...since I joined i have read about more wrecks and prayed it wouldn't happen to me. But as you, it happened yesterday. glad to hear everyone's ok on this one too!

Do you have any idea how sore I am right now? All I wanted was for everyone to get together for a fun ride! I thought it was impossible for Wrightme43 or Defy to go down.

Well now...let's talk about what those other people wanted. They didn't like talking about other things. 'Useless Topics' they were called, because we weren't talking about anything related to motorcycles.

Now we've got plenty to talk about! They wanted FZ6 related topics? They should be the ones to provide solutions for these FZ6 crashes.

You people know who you are.

We're having a blast guys. Steve and Nate aren't hurt, and Steve will be riding his bike today. How many people can say they did that after 2 crashes? Nate was done riding as of yesterday, so the crash isn't going to take away from his plans.

No one in this group is puting anyone in danger. All of these guys ride great, and just got caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. I'd ride with any one of them anytime and feel safe doing it.

Man, go away for a couple of days and the board runs into each other! Glad you guys, and gal, are more of less okay. I can't wait to see the photos.
