I'm buying a PC3 ( cheers to Ozfazer6  ) and was wondering how much people have paid to have a custom map made on the dyno?

The best quote I've had here is $350. ( up tp $500  )

So fess up people, how much have you spent on the mistress? ( and where if in N.S.W. )

Cheers,

Mac. :aus:

I pay $350.00 USD for a straight forward map; eg: pipe, and PCIII. Not sure what that translates to in AUD. For custom set ups, quick shifters, etc. it can run about $100 extra.

Where did you get the 350$ quote?

I got quoted 800$.... (decided I'd rather wait)

Jamie @ Sportcycles ( Kotara ) quoted $350 for the dynotune.
He is a power commander authorised dealer, so I'm confident he knows what he's doing. ( plus, he's got a great rep here in Newcastle )

He's done a few FZ's and R6's, so he's familiar with the setup.

You'll have to look him up in the yellow pages, he doesn't advertise! ( and he's always booked up a few weeks ahead )

Cheers,
Mac.

Can't argue with that Mac  Jamie is a quality guy & knows his stuff.

The fact that his prices are more than competitive is a bonus.

Lets us know how you get on

Time for an update.

Finally got the bike dyno'd, $350 as quoted.

04 FZ6n, 22,000k's, minor airbox mod, cat elim & drilled stock exhaust, PCIII, 15T front sprocket.

95.54 hp at the rear!

The graph looks bad, the bike feels GREAT!

She pulls harder from any revs and the on/off throttle is much better.

Money well spent

Mac.

Nice stuff, might have to look him up!

Make sure you call first, I was there today and the place was packed with bikes.

They are always busy, which is a great sign if you ask me.

the phone number is - 49 521 352

Rear of 46 Park Ave, Adamstown ( close to Westfield Kotara ).

+1. Can't say enough about SportCycles.

+1 about booking in advance. The 2-3 week waiting list probably says volumes about Jamie's work when you consider the are 4 dealerships within 5km from his workshop.

It's a bugger to find if you have never been there before. Look for Taylors Mowers & the driveway to Jamie is next door.

Kris if you are in Sydney & can't get to Newcastle try Trev at Doin Bikes. Not sure of his prices but he does a great job & takes care of a lot of the racing bikes in Sydney
