Did anyone use the RTV for their install of the 2 brothers pipe? Seems a little hokie to me to have to use sealant on the install but wanted to see what others have done - seems like they should fit solid without any goop....thoughts?

Thanks -

Yeah I used the sealant that was provided with the pipes and as per the instructions.

Why would that seem "hokie" to you? Sealing up an exhaust fitting seems like good practice to me, after all with the heating and flexing of your exhaust pipes, having some flexible sealant around the joint area seems like a sensible idea to me.

Yes! I used my goop! It is normal to try to ensure you have a seal on the V.A.L.E. joint and this system works very well. They don't expect you to gop the stuff on. It just gives a little more insurance that you have good seals at all joints and reduces the possibility of taking on O2 and increasing decell popping.
