I will recommended you Shogun no-cut, because they are safer for your frame

My son laid my bike down going about 20 mph (he is fine)
I had some sliders on the bike (don't know what kind/brand)
I bought them from a friend who had taken them off his FZ6 when
he sold it. He laid it down on the left side and the only damage
was to the plastic up front and the round black thing that says yamaha
just below the slider. The sliders I have were the same length (2 5/16".)
Are there some sliders that are a little longer?
None of the websites have listed lengths (that I can find anyway)

So i was doing my math, and i managed to come up with this conclusion:

Given that:
-Most sliders have a circular shape that comes in contact with the ground
-No cut is being used for my bike
-One bolt Attachment Slider-Bike

I can say:
-Given that LSL contact surface is bigger then most other sliders ( Shogun, motovation ...etc) due to its spherical shape that comes in contact with the ground; on a fall, the stress/strain force will be distributed on a larger surface, thus the probability of having the bolt crack up and break the frame is less then for any other sliders and the damage done to your bike would be less then a slider with a perfect circle at the end.

Conclusion:
Having a bigger surface that comes in contact with the ground will give you a smoother transfer of energy and friction. this is why i have decided to go with the LSL.

Thank you all for your input :)
NB:All this is speculation and haven't been tested.

Actually the stress will be focused at the smallest point of the lever (a slider is a lever), and in this case that is the bolt. The slider with transfer the energy from the fall to the bolt and the frame. As long as you buy one of the god brand names you are good to go; avoid the discount ones as the bolts sucks.

I would also like to know what length the sliders are on each side of the bike. I bought some Light up sliders called Light-Up Flame Sliders made by Diamond Powersports. They are not for the FZ, but the bolt dia. is the same. These are not the same length, but off hand I do not remember the dimensions. Does anyone have the dimensions for the sliders for an FZ?
