Hi Guys, I found me a used Wilbers 640 with hydraulic preload adjuster.
Snow has covered al our asphalt in Holland, and i can't wait to try it......
Do you have one, can you tell me what to expect...please do!
Spring is at least 2 months away.....

I have a Wilbers(without the preload adjuster) on my FJR. Good shock, had it rebuilt once at 35k miles. You may have to change the spring if it was not built for your weight and bike.

Thanx, i contacted Wilbers in Germany about the spring rate. Let's hope i got the right 1. Yours has 22 clicks rebound settings right? When i count the clicks i get to 28?!

Good news, spring rate is ok, 28 clicks is normal too. Now for the weather.....snow's gone, and i'll be installing the shock tomorrow!
I'll take some pics and post them here.

Sorry, no pics yet, but the difference is awesome, rear feels so much more planted, no more OMG moments when you hit a bump in a fast turn.
In case any of you are in the market for a suspension upgrade, changing the rear shock really is a huge upgrade. I use r6 forks, and adding the shock makes the bike feel so much more nimble, flipping the bike from side to side is a lot, i mean a LOT easier, without giving the feeling it wants to wobble.
