Hi - I'm after some advice if you've fitted a screen higher than the Yamaha accessory 'touring' screen, which on my bike looks fine:
Problem is I'm getting a lot of windnoise around my helmet and I think it's because I'm in the turbulence zone. If I crouch down nearer the tank, the windnoise goes (tho' replaced by engine noise), if I stand on the pegs I get a lot more direct wind but very little windnoise.
I can't hold either of these positions for long (plus they must look strange to the cagers) so I'm thinking of fitting a much higher windscreen, something like this from Cee Bailey's:
Yamaha FZ6 2007 & UP Replacement Windshield - Our latest 2007/up Yamaha FZ6 windshield takes up where the factory shield left off.
Just wondered if you've fitted one of these, whether it cured a windnoise problem for you, any advice on estimating the size to fit (over and above the manufacturer's guidance).
I suppose the only downside I'm worrying about is some instability at speed?
Thanks
