They sell the Zero bikes here but I don't find them as nice looking as the Brammo and some others. Though they are priced slightly less. Definitely just a question of time.

I mean, I think it's pretty obvious that the future is electric. At least that will be the next phase.

I don't think it's the end all answer to our problems.

funny because i have many electrical engineering professors and friends who tend to disagree. electricity is great for commuting where travel time << charge time. with high usage a battery/source depletes much faster than it charges. Electric power is just no suited for private transportation IMHO. It also does not help that the infrastructure of every transportation system is based on petroleum. Then you have politics, etc.....

i think about it like flying RC planes/helis. i can go to the field with a gallon of nitro, and fly ALL DAY and only use about 1/4 of a gallon of fuel. to do this with my electric plane (the smallest plane i have, so this comparison is a little skewed in favor of the electric...) i need:
2, 4-outlet cyclic chargers
6, 3-cell 1300 mA LiPo batteries (all of which need to be fully charged before hand)
and if i want to fly multiple planes (electric) i need different sized batteries. (batteries are very expensive, for these reasons, i only have 1 EP plane)
assuming there is a power outlet at the field and there are no problems with the batteries/charging station this can be done but is annoying.

It looks pre crashed, very ugly front end. I think that they may have underestimated how much attention motorcycle owners pay to the esthetics of their machines.

Netflix has a documentary called "Charge" which has 14 teams who took electric bikes to the Isle of Man TT in 2009. Allot has happened since then, and they might actually make a full lap these days. Electric bikes didn't cut it but they made history.
