So, I have decided...

As soon as I pay of my truck (very soon), I'm going to save up some cash and buy a 2012 Triumph Speed Triple R.

I saw pics of this bike and it gave me a boner...

Discuss :)

I have to agree with chevyfazer. Looking at it straight on isn't too bad, but from the side is where it gets me.

I am in the same boat too!

I made the mistake of going for a test ride on the 2012 Speed, with arrow cans.

I can honestly I was blown away by its raw power, sound and handling.

Not dissing my fizzer but it felt quite lethargic and heavy to ride after the Speed.

I am genuinely thinking about chopping the fizzer for the speed as I too had a boner when I rode it. :BLAA:

I've ridden the Street triple R with Arrow cans. That gave me a boner so I'd imagine the Speed might even make me soil my pants.

I think with the fly screen on, the headlights look better. When I first saw them I thought they were terrible and they would never grow on me, but they have.

Get one I say.

Looks-wise, I'm not a fan (the headlights kill it, imo), but it's a killer bike otherwise! I rode the older model (2010) and THAT was a blast to ride.. this one is supposed to be even better.

I haven't actually ridden one but I have to agree with the majority here, the headlights kill it for me. I wasn't really a fan of the old style headlights but I like them better than the new ones. That being said I haven't heard anyone come off riding one that didn't like it.

Lights can be changed, and I agree, I didn;t like the new ones at first, either...

However, they have grown on me, and I am in full drool mode!

thread is worthless without pics so here you go....sorry for the huge size but you have to see it in full res. The headlights are strange but it's still a bada$$ looking bike, IMHO.
