Does this happen to you right after you lubricate your chain??

Yes, that is pouring rain I had to ride through on my bike from work today.


There was a less than 30% chance of rain today, and those of us who live in DC area know that, it means it is not going to rain and forecasters say that just to cover their behind. I guess, I forgot about the "did you lubricate your chain last night?" variable because that increases chance of rain to 100%!!!! :spank::shakehead:

Now, I have to redo it again (yes, I follow chain maintenance rules after rain very closely).

I almost cleaned my chain yesterday, but I'm glad I didn't. Mine is kind of protected in its new parking spot though.

I can't even begin to think about how terrible my odds have been with chain lube/rain following. Make a good QOD, Kazza! I'd have chance at that one (maybe).

Lol, dont you know that everytime this happens (raining after a chain lube & or cleaning of the bike), that the Motorcycle gods are sitting in a bar up there somewhere, just giggling, like little schoolgirls! Saying stuff like" that'll learn ya for doing the right thing and looking after your bike!"....

2 Keep hand out of way when lubing
3 Lube once a week - 500 kms
4 Get husband to do all the above for you

Anyway, this will all come to an end now. He has made it clear that I need to maintain my bike.

Remember, I have a busy weekend - PCIII, 15T sprocket, Rizoma fluid reservoir, Heal-tech speedo healer and gear indicator. Oh and the Ohlins rear shock. He will help me though - no way could I do the shock

pivot points?
any moving parts?

I'm sure if I look this info up in my owners manuel they would be there but it's around 8000 miles away, and that's a long walk and a really long swim.:BLAA:

Yep, you lube the chain not the bike..... My bad :spank:
