I just thought it would be interesting to see what taste in bikes we have had in the past and how we have evolved since then so I'll start with what ever I have pics for.

1st bike Kawasaki 100 cc 2 stroker (no pics)

2nd bike Yamaha RD350 2 stroker (stock pic)will post soon

3rd Bike Royal Enfield Bullet 350cc 4 stroke (stock pic)

4th Bike 1994 Yamaha Virago 920 4 stroke (actual pic)will post soon

5th Bike 2004 Yamaha FZ6 (plenty of pics )

Hi
I did my driving licence on a Kawasaki 350 2 stroke triple, I borrowed it from a friend.
67 BSA Thunderbolt, loved it but it was a money pit!
82 Honda Super Sport, loved it, ran like a top!
06 FZ6 Great bike.
I wish I had more money I would own at least three other bikes. The transition in Bikes is amazing, the fz is so tight and clean compared to the other two and parts don't fall off when you drive down the road.

When my Mechanic did the inspection on the BSA, I asked him if it was safe, he said "Ed it wasn't save when it was new"!!!

Cheers

My first bike from long ago, a Kawasaki KL250. This was before I had a car. I rode this thing everywhere, year round. Everything from going to work, woods trails and even a motocross course.

I only had 3 bikes before my FZ6:

1977 Suzuki AC50, sold in 1980

1980 Honda CB400N, sold in 1982

1982 Honda CBX550, sold in 1984
cbx55003.jpg

Then I had a 20 year gap with no bike at all!

started out at 16 on the road on a Yammie SR 185...Great little bike...super reliable, and not too powerful, which at the time i hated, but in retrospect, it was a good thing!
View attachment 17535

then it was a Honda VF400
View attachment 17536

Followed by a Honda VF500....First bike i modded....ended up blowing up the motor!
View attachment 17537

then i moved to England, and bought this....1985 V-Max
View attachment 17538

then sold it, and toured Europe, 2 up on this...Yamaha XV750
View attachment 17539

then i got back to Australia, and was broke, so bought this...cheap, went a lot faster than it looked like it should! GS400, mine was white though, and had bar end mirrors...

then i bought my 1982 Ducati Pantah 500....which i still own today...19 years later...still love it too.

Unfortunately there's no pix of my earlier bikes. Something about an ex-wife and a cigarette lighter keeps popping into my mind.

Anyway, bikes I've owned in the past include in no particular order;

1. 1970 Honda CB350
2. 1973 Honda CL175
3. 1974? Honda 350/4
4. 1975 Honda 550/4
5. A couple of Honda 750/4's - I can't remember the years
6. A Norton Commander
7. 1970 BSA 441 Victor - a great thumper
8. Kawasaki Z1B 900 - 2 of these. One for the street, one for the strip.
9. 1983 Kawasaki 305CSR
10. 1974 HD Sportster - AMF years, what junk!!!
11. 1993 Yamaha Virago 1100
12. 1970 Triumph Tiger 650
13. mid 60's Triumph Bonneville - can't remember the year
14. 2003 Kawasaki ZR7S - just sold it
15. 1989 Kawi Ninja 250
16. 2006 Kawi Ninja 250

And a bunch of dirtbikes inclucing Penton, Maico, Husky, and the usual Japanese brands.

Pics are just from the internet

The first year is when I got the bike
1985 --- 1980 Yamaha Exciter 250
1986 --- 1982 Yamaha Maxim 400 (blew the motor -apparently they need oil - so I put in a Seca 400 motor) -- mine was red, and I gave it to a friend just last year to learn on.
1993 --- 1986 Yamaha FZ 750 (I loved this bike, sold it last year to get the FZ6)
2008 --- 2006 Yamaha FZ6 - No pic, I'm pretty sure you all are familiar with what they look like.

Heh..this sounds like fun.
My first two-wheeler was a hand-me-down from my sister. A TVS Scooty..small peppy 60cc engine. My first bike was a 2003 Honda CBZ. 150cc engine, 5 speed with 14hp.

Sold that one when I came over to the US and got me an 08 FZ6 in April last year.

I was a lucky kid & lived in the country. We had a couple home built minibikes and then;
Montgomery Wards Mo-Ped (trust me there was mo peddlin' than ridin')
'64 Bultaco Matador
'71 Triumph Trail Blaser
'72 Suzuki Savage
'74 380 Suzuki
'73 Suzuki TM 125
'75 Yamaha 650 (with numerous later model parts added on)
'06 Yamaha FZ6

A few other dirt bikes & three wheelers along the way.
Pictures are all from the internet except the squid on the 650 in the desert (double squid because I was in the Navy then!)

Here ya go - thus my name.
1981 Honda - CBX --- Yet 1000cc's of Six cylinders across.
I've been constantly restoring and what the heck since the parts off might as well have it Chromed!
Purchased used had 81K in present rebuild has 14K.
It's the width of the motor and the sound - Ohhhhhh so sweet .... close your eyes and you would thing something Itialian and exotic was coming.
Hope pics attach.

'87 honda XL 185 was my first bike (umm, the other kids at that time 1991-1995 thought dual shocks on a dirt bike were quite amusing...)
3596997298_3bf217b189.jpg

(not my actual bike btw, but identical...)

'91 Kawasaki Zephyr 550, my first street bike. Bought in 2006, still mine (for now).

My first bike was a 1998 Honda VTR1000 Firestorm. Awesome bike. It somehow got cursed and refused to stay intact. (Not my fault)
bike002.jpg

Second Bike was a 2004 Yamaha R6. Again awesome bike. Started taking long trips and decided this might be the right bike for that.

Current bike is a 2004 FZ6. Liked the fact that it's somewhat like an R6, more comfortable/fuel efficient, and runs on 87.
