Bike just smells...hot?

Just bought an 07 FZ6 and knew going into it that the underseat exhaust makes the legs a bit more toasty than other bikes, but whenever I park it after a ride, it just smells...hot. Maybe a burning smell, but I don't know how to describe it. It doesn't smell like burning oil or coolant or anything like that. I can't really pinpoint it other than it being more pronounced right up near the engine.

Temps are fine; it's never been over 210F and usually sits around 170-180F during the cooler mornings. Even then, I get that smell.

If you've got the stock exhaust, it has a lot of metal to stay hot for a lot longer than aftermarket cans would.

Have you owned a bike with a catalytic converter before? With all of their internal surface area they do retain heat.

Yeah, I also have a Ninja 300 and it has a cat, but I've never noticed a hot/burning smell with it.
