07 front fairing swap on an 06

Will an 07 complete Front fairing fit my 06? I'm replacing the front end due to a wreck. The Stay is bent so could I just buy an 07 stay as well?

i guess it would fit. yes you definately need the fairing stay and also the side brackets attached to the frame that hold the fairing in place.

the inner cowlings are different tho and will not accomodate your round speedo unit without some serious modifications. if you buy the 07 speedo i think you need to perform a lenghty wiring job as the plugs on the 06 and 07 are different.

I know there's a conversion how to on here somewhere....just can't seem to find it right now.

anyway the gist of it is that the gauge cluster wants replacing along with the fairing and stay. Happy modding

I"m pretty sure that you can just purchase the 07+ speedometer cable which takes care of the wiring problem.

I remember researching this, as I would like to swap my 04 gauges for 07+ gauges, since the older style digital tachometer blows.
