As far as I know, the Fazer has a fairing, while the FZ is naked. But wikipedia says "Yamaha FZ6, also known as the FZ6 FAZER" That is, they catalog it as the same bike? I don't understand that, if by design both bikes are different.
Thanks guys!
Hi all help needed on my fazer s2 not running on 1 and 4 coil. It all started when I added a gallon of fuel and 30 seconds later it stopped running on 1 and 4 now there’s no spark at that coil starts and runs on 2 and 3 . Being electronic if fuel don’t get through injector does it stop the coil...
Hi guys.
My name is Justin, I've just joined the forum as i have recently purchased a Yamaha Fazer 600 S.
However being new to both the forum and the bike itself, i am unsure of what tyres i should get for my Fazer.
Could you guys recommend me some tyres?
Some pointers i may have...
First of all... sorry if this is the wrong place to post this thread.
I would like to know you guys opinion on this subject:
1 - My first motorcycle, in the year 2008, was the Yamaha Thundercat (2000);
2 - After almost 50.000km on it, I switched for the brand new Honda Deauville (2011)...
after wanting a Fazer for so many years but never finding the right bike at the right price , i finally found one in may last year .
I loved the 250 mile ride home but after owning a bit longer i dont really like the bike , the seat is a pain when out a good ride , theres a shudder at times...
Hey guys,
It might not be the right place to talk about this topic, but I thought I’d share my dilemma. Maybe I can start a conversation and get some insights from you. So, here we go..
Basically I can’t make up my mind whether I should buy a Tracer 700 or an older FZ6 Fazer. This will be...
Hello to all to the forum i am really happy i found this forum... a friend of mine brought to me his fazer in order to customise it a little... this is the first time that i am working on a fazer.. i remove the gas tank and take it for a new paint and i receive it yesterday i put it back to...
In the UK where I'm from- for someone under 24 and with little experience bikes above 94bhp are off limits ( something called a A2 license is needed even to ride a 47bhp bike). In the US I understand the Fazer (2004 on) is 98bhp however here it is 90bhp- so it is perfect for me ( I would need to...
I have just bought an FZ6 manual from Halfords but on opening it, it appears to be for the US FZ6R (a Diversion, not Fazer). Is there such a manual for a Fazer FZ6 2010 plate bike?
Selling my red Yamaha FZ6 S2 (also knows as Fazer 600) 2007 model +extras. As of 11/13/2016 the bike has 27,774 miles, 17,000 of which were done by myself in the last two and a half years. I am selling it because I bought an FJR1300AE and really want to pay it off ASAP. Price is $3700 with all...
Recently bought a 2009 FZ6. Anytime I look it up (for parts, owners manual, etc.) I'm getting hits for 2004-2008 Fazer FZ6 or 2009-20xx FZ6R.
Any idea which of the two I should use as a reference?
Yup, my baby went for another maintenance, it has around 10.500 km's made since I bought it with 0 km's in 2014.

Hey 600riders,
I've been a little confused on how exactly the naming convention works for our bikes.
To my knowledge, the 2009 FZ6 I have is just that: a FZ6.
However, between different parts sites online I see
FZ6
FZ600
FZS600
FZ6 S2
FAZER
600 FAZER
and so on and so on...
Hi guys,
I recently acquired a 2007 Yamaha Fazer FZ6 S2 with 89,000km/ 55600miles on it but it had unknown service history as I bought it from a bike shop. It is my first time owning a Fazer, coming from a Triumph Street Triple R. It seemed like a legitimate deal as the outlook was excellent and...
...cos I came off my XJ-6 recently on some black ice. The problem is now after a week with the bike I think I like it more than my XJ-6. A lot more. It requires a bit more finesse with the handling but it's so much more satisfying to ride, and the extra power is nice. I also post over at...
