Thanks for all the helpful threads here everything went smooth , but I did a couple things diff , used a sidewinder to take off the old chain and went to my local Cycle Gear and got a link with a pin , wasnt going to spend $30 for a tool set for removal and installation , thanks again :thumbup:

I would of done the same thing as you , settling out of court and taking the money , but I would of bought the Vstrom touring edition . dont let them bust you Bubble.:Flip:

I started doddling around with repairing Cowlings , bought fiberglass all to the way to a paint gun , then my father fell ill and i got out of it , going to start up again this winter for a hobby.
