I appreciate the feedback. I'm hoping to find someone who doesn't care about fixing it and is willing to buy as-is. I'd certainly take less than I'm asking, but I'd love to get it gone soon. Does anyone have any interest?
Forum Friends,
I've got to clean out some garage space, so the FZ is up for sale. It's been for sale on-and-off for a while, but I'm quickly becoming a motivated seller. The bike is an 06 and only has 950 miles on it. Blasphemy, I know, but I just never got much of a chance to ride it...
Hey there,
I haven't been on in a while and don't know if you've found your bike yet (I assume you have), but mine's still for sale. '06, 800 miles on it. Slight scratches, so I'm asking $5200, but I can negotiate something that will make us both happy if you're still looking. -John
I appreciate everyone's help! Even though my apartments is not much bigger than my bike, I'd feel better having it safe while I'm away.
Fz6Sa, you mention not tilting the tank, but do you recommend leaving the bike on the center stand as opposed to the side stand?
Thanks! -John
Hey guys-
It's been a while since I've posted, but I'm glad to be back! I've got a storage conundrum that I could use your help with:
I'll be headed out of town for 10 days and, unless anyone in Auburn, Ala. has a garage they want to let me use, I'll be needing a place to leave my bike...
I appreciate the help. I know that if I wait until Spring I should be able to get a good bit more for the bike, but I just need cash more than a toy right now.
Just thought I'd dig this thread up and see if anyone has any Christmas cash to burn. The bike is in Atlanta for the next week, and I really would prefer to sell it instead of toting it back down to Auburn.
I'll have it repainted and sell it for as close to $5200 as I can get. Anybody know...
...Still trying to sell. The 600-mile service has been completed, and I'll split the cost of repairs with you if you decide to make it like-new again. That's a savings of $200 for the service (I would've done it at home, but I wanted the book signed by a yammie mechanic in case future buyers...
Well, I'm back in motivated seller mode. School and work got busy for a while and, with the weather being all right, I was able to either take the bike or steal my girlfriend's car.
Now, however, my car is getting worse and my need to sell is getting stronger. Not a good combo for...
I live right off of Old Fraternity Row/Magnolia Avenue. Your welcome to come by and take a look if you'd like. I appreciate the help and the heads up! The bike is chained up, so hopefully the only person who takes this bike will have to leave some cash first.
Sandy Springs is a wonderful...
I appreciate the comments! I'm jealous of you guys who are getting the bikes for such good deals, though. Our dealers are getting $7500 OTD for '07s, this bike was $7300 OTD and I can't find a single good used one on Cycletrader for under $5500.
It's nice, though, to get a barometer for the...
I appreciate the support. That is the hope, so expect me to be back in the hunt around May.
I just finished putting my slideshow on Photobucket, so here's the link for those interested:

Well Ladies and Gents, the time has come. A few short weeks ago, you guys convinced me to keep my baby instead of trading it for a Triumph and boy am I glad you did!
Unfortunately, my car has fallen a bit under the weather lately and, as...
So I've learned plenty of dumb, obvious lessons through my riding and figured that there should be a thread for people to share theirs.
For instance, today my lesson was that if you plan on topping 100mph, then you should probably remember to get into a tuck. What've you guys come up with...
Congrats! I agree about the bullsh*t questions. I got my permit in GA and was surprised that the test was so non-applicable. I'll be going back for my license in December (I hope... living out-of-state sucks) so that I can finally legally ride after dark, ride two up and go out on the highway...
I live in a college apartment complex, so I chain mine to a pole with a thick piece of cable and a padlock. I figure that, as has been said before, if they really want it then they'll get it, but I might as well make them work for it.
My old security system was that mine was chained up and...
