As far as I understand, it wouldn't be a passing infraction... But it would fall under taking their lane. Or lane splitting which isn't legal here. Although, it's certainly something I risk 95% of the time(Sometime's I'm just not in the slightest bit of a rush). Even though you're making a right...
Few things worth mentioning... with a fuel injected bikes, we can't bump start a completely dead battery. We need at least enough juice to start the fuel pump.
And depending on your height, might be a little tough to get enough momentum straddling the seat. Gotta be very careful not to let it...
Just buy a little cargo net... Or a backpack.. Or leave it at her house. Or even one bungie cord through the helmet attached to the handles back there(I've carried a wii fit back there with two bungies, and a thing of cinnamon rolls from the grocery store with one bungie) Or... There's probably...
21,000 miles...
Unless I'm confused on how they should look... not too shabby! Then again from a cost and time perspective.. I see no reason to check them without changing them. Pain to get there, and they were 5 bucks a piece at checkers.
I had one of my givi side cases randomly open while making a turn. Luckily it was empty, and I havn't been able to repeat it. Doesn't make any sense considering, you can't take out the key without it being latched down? Oh well, I worried about it for a few months, and now I don't think about it.
My schedule just doesn't permit it. I play roller hockey on my only two nights off. I -need- my roller hockey. The big coast trip you guys pulled off though... I saw it on the forums about two weeks to late. I was already planning on something similar for next year... I had a week vacation to...
Ya know, I was chugging along fairly well(14-15ish in the first year). But ever since I got rid of my car, I find I ride my bike less and less. I use to go hit the lake, red rock, etc for fun. Now that it's my daily commuter, I'm barely past the 20k mark. So very sad.
I'm still not sure of the value of the flip up helmet. Especially in this review, you see the phrase "for a flip-up" a lot. And they seem to be on the type of things I find very important. The only trade off I can see is that you can lift it up at exceptionally long lights, or while filling up...
Some brands(I know Shoei does) have a service where you send them in to be checked. Look into that, otherwise yeah definitely toss them. Amazing deal regardless
It looks like it's on subject to me: touring :P They're Michelin Pilot Road 2's. I had to replace the rear one since because of a nail, but the front almost looks new still after 16000 miles. Then again, I've done a lot more touring style riding than "canyons"
I love the tires! Amazing difference compared to stock, and it was noticable even before I broke em in.
I don't remember what I used on that trip(I don't remember seeing it at cycle gear next time I went), but I lubed every night. It was a smaller blueish can. I kept that, tire gauge...
Ha, never even heard of it actually :p I'm on 702sportbikes.. I'll have to see what I can do one of these weeks. I usually play roller hockey and then go and pub quiz on Tuesday nights.
The mounts are permament more or less. The bags come off super easily. It's one key... One button will open them up, the other will let you yank them off. I would bring them with me into a motel room. Here's a few pics of the brackets. The turn signals have to be moved a little bit if you have...
I commute on mine everyday. Getting rid of my car was my best financialy decision ever. I took a 4000 mile roadtrip on it. I even ride to my hockey games(gear and all) on it. Ergonomics are fine. Power level is all fine. It's an all around good time.
I'm another my option isn't up there. I always wear my helmet, jacket, gloves, and boots. I always wear at least jeans. Sometimes, I'll wear the pants.. always when going to work in the winter and it's 30 degrees when I get off work. :p
