He spent many months in a collar and had an peration to pin the bones about six months ago and got the all clear on Wednesday and cameout with us and five of his mates on Friday
We did about 200 miles of the best Welsh roads and as usual he is at the front of the pack... did I mention he rides...
All my spanners are left handed so I leave the oily bits to those that know- especially brakes an chains (once spent a whole day trying to get the front sprocket nut off) but I have changed fork oil and I have done the rear light LED conversion on both of my Fazers
Tackle a little job first and...
That sort of thing is never nice.
I have done my IAM, I do bikesafe every year and this Saturday I am doing a ROSPA assessed ride so I am doing all I can to keep myself safe and Friday will also be the first ride out with a mate who came off his bike November 12 and broke his neck:Sport...

Picked my bike up this afternoon after its 12k service ready for a run on Friday with some friends around Mid Wales
It does take a few rides to get the bike settled and some skills back
When you watch bike racing on Eurosport there are often adverts for Suzuki and apprillia as they know that bikers are watching and have their target audience whereas mainstream telly is too hit or miss for how many bikers might be watching
I like the first one - I have the T shirt and like the idea of a blue badge.... it matches my blue bike like it was designed for the best coloured Fazer
I have only been on track at Castle Combe and to be honest I was Sh1t... the bike was fine- it was just me- with my camera on the speedo and the road (handlebar mount) I found I never went over 80 and was lapper by everyone in 1/4 hour
That was a disorganised day as part of Avon and Somerset...
for a while but the weather here has been sh1t and the bike has stayed in the shed neglected.
Also ..... just before the sun did start to shine again I brought myself an SLK Merc.
OK before you all go - hey moneybags.... I brought a 2003 SLK immaculate and 70k miles on the clock for £4k-...
Dont know if anyone wants one but I have an Airblade smoked double bubble screen for a 2009 FZ6S2
I brought it and then decided I preferred the OEM clear screen
I also have smoked headlight lense covers- thought I had brought clear- I want to be seen
Pick up from mid Wales or for postage...
If you check Ebay UK and type in FZ6 ECU a company in the UK comes up and can replace your fried ECU with a virgin one which you can code you YOUR red key or they can offer a new red key coded to your ECU
Worth every penny
In the UK they use grit and slat mixed together- really trashes Yamaha paint jobs unless you are very careful when you get home after a ride..... that reminds me- I have some painting to do before spring :(((
I guess many of you will have heard of the Ivaniser to get rid of the 'snatch' :BLAA: off closed throttle of FZ1's but is there somethign similar for the FZ6?
I think Ivan is in the US but he doesnt list anything Ivan's Performance Products
My mate came off his MV4 and broke his C2 vertibrae just before Christmas- apparently a 90% failure rate on making it to hospital but he is OK in a neck brace for a few months and a year off the bike.
Hasnt healed yet but he is hoping to get back on as soon as but not sure about what his wife...
I saw a cat eliminator pipe on Ebay and did wonder what the effect would be - louder exhaust? poor fueling without a power commander? MOT failure next year?
Sounds like there is no real advantage to taking the CAT out
Checking the other designs including gutter guard I am assuming that the pebbles get chucked up the back of the radiator and lodge under the fan housing not come through the radiator core.
Also another idea that was on here was a lower amperage fuse to protect the fan motor from future failure...
