After 12 months of training & at the second attempt I passed my IAM Advanced Motorcycling test on Monday.
I believe it's now compulsory for me to buy a BMW & some slippers:D
Didn't know quite where to put this.
Use domestic furniture polish on your visor to improve visibility in wet & misty conditions.
Spray on a few thin coats, allowing to dry between each application (takes a while) then buff with a duster.
Give it a try.
Got told about this stuff from some guys I go out riding with.
Renapur leather care, renart art products
Ordered a tub of the balsalm & some application sponges over the net, took 4 days (and 15 quid) from order to delivery. It claims to clean, restore & showerproof leather.
The night...
I'm trying to remove the rear shock to replace it with a lowering shock. Common wisdom seems to be that you just unbolt it top & bottom & it comes out.
Done that. I just can't disengage the bottom end. It 'appears' there is a collar which runs between the bosses, which I'm guessing...
Surprised I'm the first to put up a congrats notice for Lewis. Stunning drive in the wet, different league to the rest of the field.
I know this, cos' I was there. Yippee. Got GIVEN a hospitality ticket. Got bussed in, feed & watered copiously. And, a covered in-field grandstand seat on...
I did the Warwickshire Constabulary Bikesafe course at the weekend. It's billed as an introduction to Advanced Motorcycling. It cost £95 & in my opinion is the most worthwhile 2 days I've ever spent on a course.
The course is run by Police Motorcyclists (Nationally) for motorcyclists of all...
Just got my renewal notice from Bennetts & the premium has gone up 50 quid. A quick call got it back down to what I paid last year (£170). Last year I had zero No Claims & now I have 1 year & expected a substantial decrease from last year.
I just wondered who you guys are using & if there...

Don't know if any of you chaps 'darn sarf' might be interested.
Just got this link via e-mail. Had a quick look & seems a good read on many aspects of motorsport.

Ok, so I haven't on the forum for the last couple of months, been busy. But 10,344 new posts! I can't read all them. That's around 200 posts a day since I was last here. How do you find the time?
Good to be back though:D
I know a lot of you guys don't like the stock Dunlops. However, I saw this advert for D208RR tyres at £110 ($220) the pair, against £180/190 for Bridgestones. They claim to be a new product, that's sticky & has good life expectancy. Anyone tried them.
I don't need tyres for another 1000...
Is there anything I can do, alter, adjust whatever to prevent the system 'Logging me out' if my system is idle for a few minutes?
For example, if I follow a link someone has posted, by the time I come back to the Forum it's still there but posting rights have been closed, so I have to sign on...
So, I'd been out riding since 7.30 yesterday morning. Been through Worcester - Nice cathedral - then on to the Malvern Hills - Stunning views, why didn't I take my camera Doh! - Down to Eastnor Castle & into Glouscester - another nice cathedral. Headed home through Upton on Severn, Pershore &...
Been two days now since I got out on the bike. I'm getting kinda tetchy, even went looking for a cheroot earlier, managed to refrain as that particular avenue of pleasure is also closed. Weather forecast for tomorrow is dire, torrential rain & flooding expected.
I think I'll take to drink...
Someone's got to start this thing.
My brand new FZ6 is still sat in the garage with 61 miles on the clock. It's been there for 2 days. And yes, it is still raining. How PO'd am I.
Rains easing a little, may be able to get out this afternoon.
