I put the bike up on it's center stand and lubed the chain. I've never owned a bike with center stand before. I had to wrestle it to get it on there. Am I missing something? I've put 300 miles on it this week and it's running like a champ!

I think you scored. I bought an 07 a couple weeks ago with 1100 miles. I think beginners bought some of these bikes and gave up on riding. That was certainly the case with mine.
