I cleaned it and it's working, but I'm waiting on a spare that I can mess with and try to "upgrade" a bit. Right now I think there might be a funny engine noise but I'm not sure, which is why I'm trying to find a second opinion.

Trolling the intertubes has taught me the word "Yamatick", which I think accurately describes what I'm hearing. Next week I'll putz around with it and make sure. Tied up with travel and family stuff right now.
