Zealot
The Village Idiot
Went to visit my girlfriend last night. Parked the bike up on a little bit of the walkway that juts out into the parking lot. Said extension houses a white box that controls what would have once (it's been broken forever) controlled the gate and bar that blocks it; that's where I parked.
It looked a bit off last night, and upon inspection in the morning - someone pushed it backwards and into the gate box. I had the steering locked and it was in gear as to prevent too much foolery, and I found it still partially upright (as it seems they couldn't move it, only managing to know enough to flick the kill switch) and with minor damage. My lever was sheared off, and there's a bit of white paint transfer to the bar end - but everything else is intact. I'm praising the designers at Yamaha for making the mirrors able to fold inward completely since that spared me having to pay for an extra mirror.
So, I'm unsurprisingly trying to get the bike back into a road worthy state. Need to get it home somehow later today, but for now I'm interested in knowing what my options are. Stock levers? Custom levers? Can I still find stock ones out there? I like the look of some custom levers I've seen but I wouldn't know which pair would be worth purchasing. Any advice in this regard is appreciated!
