Hello hello, first post on this forum 😊 have a Yamaha FZ6 S2 2008 model and when ai got the bike the Select button was not working. Anyone ever had this issue? Feels like the back rubber is dead.

DO you have any tips on how to remove the front cover to check it out / replace it?

Welcome to this great forum!
I believe the instrument cluster is a sealed unit but someone may know a way in.

I don’t think it’s sealed, but the two halves are put together such that it isn’t easy to take apart. If you look at the back half you will see how the top cover goes over the rear cover. I would heat the cluster with a heat gun, and when the plastic is a little soft gently pry the upper half from the lower half. Use something like a thin wooden stick (ice pop stick) and work it around the perimeter until the top cover begins to separate and then it will come apart.
