Need Help Speedometer

My 04’s speedo took a nice dump on me.

Since the oem is like $700 and I cant find one on ebay, I will hard pass.

Theres a guy who has a 09 fz6’s speedo and is willing to sell it to me. His is an S2 though and obviously mine is an S1.

Is there a way to convert the S2 speedo to work on my S1 version?

Yes, it was a common mod a few years back. A Google search for “600riders speedo” should provide you all the info you need to perform the change.

it's going to be plug and play if you can find S2 speedo harness.

I’ve had a blank Speedo for nearly year same problem not paying for an oem one. There is a lot of aftermarket ones I’ve found that I like but would prefer the route of someone that has already done it. Does anyone know of a plug and play solution

There is no aftermarket solution that id PnP. Further, the use of an aftermarket instrument cluster removes any reporting of on-board diagnostics. The best solution is a used OEM unit.
