Hi,

You may need to look in to your anti-spam policy since I assume that your spam filters are querying the various anti-spam databases and I also assume that they are set to STRICT.

I was prevented from registering at first since my username is quite common and so appears in an anti-spam database. You are potentially loosing new members because of this.

P.s. Could someone please change my username to 'Fisher'

Many thanks,
Fisher.

Hi there. Thanks for the message..

The filters block approx 500 spam registrations per day. When the filters are set low the admin staff has to spend most of its time banning spammers and removing their posts. The filters get the data from a data service that has input from hundreds of forums so it works very well. Unfortinately we get about 10 false positives per week. The people that get tagged as spam usally send a message in regard to that and we set them up manually..
